Here’s the latest from my practice sessions — an arrangement of the standard “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love” for guitar, using block chords.
Block Chords are chords that move in rhythmic unison. This technique is pretty common among jazz pianists; but with hybrid picking, I enjoy the organ-like sound it produces on the guitar.
I reharmonized the tune only a bit. Check out the PDF to see what I’ve done. Notice how the lower voices provide some chromatic embellishment.
